Who we are

VESA Equity Investment is a private investment firm focused on making long-term, strategic investments in publicly traded companies in Western Europe and the United States. We operate a simple structure and all our investors have been with us since VESA was founded.

VESA Equity Investment was founded in 2018 by Daniel Křetínský and his long-term business partner, Patrik Tkáč, as part of EP Group, one of Europe’s leading investment groups, with a €50+ billion enterprise value. EP Group has been a major investor in European energy and infrastructure since 2001 and has a successful track record of growing businesses in these sectors. EP Group is now an established, vertically integrated utility, leading power generator and a major investor behind the energy transition. Since 2014, EP Group has diversified into other sectors including food wholesale, food and other consumer retail, logistics, media and e-commerce.

While our investment strategy is distinct within EP Group, VESA Equity derives substantial benefit from being part of the broader EP Group. The expertise and operational know-how which have driven EP Group’s success provides a firm foundation for VESA Equity, helping our firm source and execute investments, and helping deliver value to the companies in which we invest.

VESA Equity has invested in market-leading businesses across the core markets of Western Europe, including the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands. The current market value of our portfolio exceeds €3bn.
